The Paul Doumer bridge is located in Hanoï, it has been built by the french in 1902. At that time, Vietnam was part of the French colonies. After the independence, the bridge had been renamed Long Biên. It is an important symbol for the inhabitants of Hanoï, it went through several wars and suffered the damages of time without being renovated. Because of its poor condition, it was supposed to be destroyed. But with the obstinacy of Hanoï citizens, it is saved and its renovation is therefore a huge construction site.
